‘Tis the season for pool maintenance

No matter how old your pool may be, there are recurring maintenance needs that should be completed to ensure that your pool stays in tip-top shape. Here are three maintenance needs that will prepare you for the summer season:

1. Service your filters. Some filters need to be serviced more frequently than others, but it’s important to ensure that your filter is working efficiently. If you have not had a DE teardown or cartridge filter cleaned in the last year or a sand change done in the last 3-5 years, now is the perfect time!

2. Do not overlook your cleaning system. An automatic cleaner (Hayward Navigator, The Pool Cleaner, etc.) and InFloor cleaning systems have moving parts that can wear out or deteriorate over time. Ensure that your cleaning system is working properly before the summer and monsoon season when you will need it the most. If your pool does not have a cleaning system, we can help you select the best possible system for your swimming pool needs.

3. Winter is the best time to drain your pool. Draining your pool now will ensure that your pool is ready for the summer season. It is also the perfect time to improve your pool or surface tiles!
